1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RecipeLab ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

RecipeLab is an AI-powered application operated by NickKaz Fit LLC that generates and recommends recipes based on user inputs, including onboarding information such as goals, preferences, and dietary selections.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time without notice.

3. User Accounts

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Maintain the security of your account
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

You may terminate your account at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the App for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse engineer the App
  • Use bots, scraping tools, or automated systems
  • Copy, distribute, or resell App content
  • Use the App to build a competing product

We may temporarily restrict certain actions or features to prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of these Terms.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

RecipeLab uses artificial intelligence ("AI") to generate recipes, recommendations, and other content presented to you in the App. Recipes and suggestions you see are generated by AI and are not reviewed or verified by a human before being shown to you.

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All recipe content, nutritional estimates, and recommendations are AI-generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs
  • AI-generated content may contain errors regarding ingredients, quantities, preparation steps, allergens, or nutritional information
  • You are solely responsible for independently verifying any AI-generated content before acting on it, including checking ingredients against any personal allergies or dietary restrictions
  • We do not guarantee nutritional accuracy, dietary suitability, or cooking outcomes
  • RecipeLab does not provide medical, dietary, or professional advice and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified physician, dietitian, or healthcare provider

You assume all risks associated with using AI-generated content in the App. Wherever practical, the App will visually indicate that displayed content is AI-generated.

6. No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee any specific results, including weight loss, muscle gain, or health outcomes.

7. Payments & Subscriptions

  • Payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
  • You must manage and cancel subscriptions through your platform settings
All purchases are final. RecipeLab does not provide refunds for any purchases or subscription charges, except where required by law. Any refunds must be requested through the respective app store (Apple or Google), subject to their policies.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology in RecipeLab are owned by NickKaz Fit LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any part of the App without written permission.

9. User Input & Content

The App does not currently allow users to upload or share content (such as photos, comments, or media) that is visible to other users. Any information you enter into the App (such as goals, preferences, or notes) is used solely to operate and personalize your own experience and is not published, displayed, or shared with other users.

If we introduce features in the future that allow users to upload or share content visible to others, we will update these Terms accordingly, including any applicable copyright and takedown procedures.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, NickKaz Fit LLC is not liable for:

  • Health issues, allergic reactions, or dietary outcomes
  • Errors or inaccuracies in recipes or AI-generated content
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NickKaz Fit LLC from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

13.1 Binding Arbitration. Except where prohibited by law, you and NickKaz Fit LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration, administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.

13.2 Class Action Waiver. You and NickKaz Fit LLC agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be conducted on an individual basis only, and not as a class, collective, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13.3 Opt-Out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@nickkaz.fit within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your name, account email, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration.

13.4 Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction.

13.5 Fallback Jurisdiction. If a court or arbitrator determines that this arbitration agreement is unenforceable as to a particular dispute or claim, that dispute or claim shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States.

Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

RecipeLab ("the App") is operated by NickKaz Fit LLC. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

a. Personal Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Account login details

b. Onboarding Information

  • Goals (e.g., fat loss, maintenance, muscle gain)
  • Dietary preferences or restrictions
  • Food likes, dislikes, or allergies
  • Cooking preferences (e.g., time, difficulty)

c. App Usage Data

  • Recipes viewed or generated
  • Interactions within the App
  • Saved or favorited content

d. Device & Technical Data

  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • App performance and crash data
  • IP address, collected for security purposes, including to prevent abuse of authentication features such as password reset requests

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate the App
  • Generate and personalize recipe recommendations
  • Improve performance and user experience
  • Communicate updates, support, and promotions
  • Analyze usage and optimize features

4. AI Processing Disclosure

The App uses artificial intelligence to process your onboarding information and usage data in order to generate personalized recipes and recommendations. Your inputs (such as goals, preferences, and dietary information) are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude AI models for the purpose of generating this content. We do not use your personal information to train publicly released AI models without your consent.

5. Third-Party Services We Use

We use the following third-party services to operate the App. We do not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs (such as Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or similar tools) at this time.

  • Supabase: Backend infrastructure and database hosting, used to store account information, onboarding data, and app usage data
  • RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase management, used to validate and manage your subscription status
  • Anthropic (Claude): AI processing, used to generate personalized recipes and recommendations from your onboarding information and inputs
  • Apple App Store / Google Play: Payment processing for subscriptions, handled entirely by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your payment card details

Every third-party service integrated into the App is disclosed here and reflected accurately in the App's Privacy Nutrition Label on the Apple App Store and the Data Safety section on Google Play. This list is reviewed and updated with each App update. If we add any analytics, advertising, or tracking tools in the future, we will update this Policy and the corresponding App Store / Play Store disclosures before doing so. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Sharing of Information

We may share your information with:

  • The service providers named in Section 5 (Supabase, RevenueCat, Anthropic)
  • Payment processors (Apple App Store / Google Play)
  • Legal authorities when required by law

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

7. Data Retention

We retain account information and user-generated App data while your account remains active and for a limited period afterward as reasonably necessary to process deletion requests, maintain security, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account unless retention is required by law. Certain information may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Know what categories of personal information we collect and for what purpose (California Consumer Privacy Act / CCPA)

10. Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time through the App's account settings, or by visiting our account deletion page. We will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable laws.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

RecipeLab does not currently use advertising or cross-app tracking technologies. Our website, if accessed, may use essential technologies necessary for basic operation and security. If we introduce analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and applicable App Store and Google Play disclosures.

12. Third-Party Services

The App may include links or integrations with third-party services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

13. Children's Privacy

RecipeLab is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated version.
